Donald Trump secures lead in new polls

Opinion polls in the United States show Donald Trump's lead is growing in the race to become the Republican presidential candidate.

A third of Republican supporters, mainly men over the age of 35, now want him to run for president.

Among those, 53 percent agree with his idea of creating a national database of Muslims, and 49 percent think all mosques in the United States should be shut down.
