Auckland's housing crisis has been creating a lot of buzz lately, but Housing Minister Nick Smith probably didn't expect it to hit him in the face quite as it did at Parliament on Wednesday.
The minister was taking questions on the issue of zoning changes when a large fly landed on his face.
But rather than swat the pesky bug, Dr Smith kept on taking questions, without so much as a flinch.
Eventually the fly made a move, but not without the help of journalists waving their papers to shoo it away.
"We've got a bit of extra bugs around," joked Dr Smith as the fly finally left.
