Vic Crone, who is running for Auckland Mayor, wants to fast-track a second Harbour Bridge crossing.
If elected, she will contribute up to $150 million immediately to the Government so it could happen in the next decade.
The council would then invest a further $600 million through to 2028 for a "northern public rapid transport corridor" alongside the bridge.
She also says there are six other key transport projects she would bring forward as Mayor.
