National has confirmed Nikki Kaye as its candidate for the Auckland Central electorate in the 2017 election.
Ms Kaye has held the electorate since the 2008 election, winning it for National for the first time in New Zealand history.
Ms Kaye currently serves at Minister of Youth and Associate Minister of Education under Bill English's new government.
The Auckland Central electorate contains the Auckland CBD, Ponsonby and Waiheke and Great Barrier Islands.
