Political commentators Trish Sherson and Chris Trotter spoke to The AM Show about the election of Simon Bridges as National leader and what it could mean for the party.
Mr Trotter was surprised that Mr Bridges came out on top ahead of Amy Adams, who he says has a political style more similar to Bill English and John Key.

Ms Sherson said Judith Collins had proven herself popular with voters and the party membership during the leadership contest.
