Deputy Prime Minister Winston Peters is taking new legal action over the leak of his superannuation details.

Mr Peters' lawyer has filed new legal papers in the High Court, a spokesperson said.

He's singling out Ministry of Social Development (MSD) chief executive Brendan Boyle, State Services Commissioner Peter Hughes, and National Party deputy leader and former State Services Minister Paula Bennett, according to NMZE.

The latest legal action leaves out a number of politicians, staff, and journalists who had been named in the first round of legal action.
