Jacinda Ardern dishes on Donald Trump, mental health

  • 26/10/2018

It's been a year since Jacinda Ardern was appointed Prime Minister of New Zealand.

In that time, the PM has formed a coalition, given birth, met Donald Trump, fired a minister, addressed the UN, hiked fuel taxes, faced numerous strikes and seen her polling soar as the nation's preferred leader.

But how did her Government's first year in office actually perform?

The Project decided to ask the Prime Minister herself, by playing a little word association game. They gave her a subject and she would say the first word that came into her head.

These are the words - and Ms Ardern's answers.

Business confidence

"Work in progress."

Mental health

"Devastating."

Teachers

"Critical."

Donald Trump

"Pass."

The Coalition

"Success."
