This livestream has finished.

Jacinda Ardern and Simon Bridges are both set to speak at Waitangi today.

The Prime Minister and National leader's speeches are expected to start at 11am at the upper marae following a pōwhiri at 10am.

It will be Ms Ardern's second speech at Waitangi as New Zealand's leader. Last year she made a big impression with a stirring speech in which she asked those present to hold her to account for her promises.

Simon Bridges will be the first National Party leader to attend Waitangi since former Prime Minister John Key in 2015.
