National leader Simon Bridges held a press conference on Wednesday after Treasury admitted there had been multiple attempts to hack its systems.
On Tuesday, Bridges revealed details of the Wellbeing Budget - two days before the official announcement.
But Treasury says there's sufficient evidence to show this information came from its systems being deliberately and systematically hacked, and has referred the issue to the police.
"Yesterday afternoon, we discovered multiple and persistent attempts to gain unauthorised access to Budget information," Treasury chief executive Gabriel Makhlouf told The AM Show.
