Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has been spotted holidaying in the Cook Islands with her daughter one-year-old Neve Te Aroha.

Ardern, 38, arrived in Rarotonga on Monday, Cook Islands News reports. She was pictured with her daughter, who was being carried by Akaiti Puna, the wife of Prime Minister Henry Puna.

The Prime Minister and her fiancée Clarke Gayford, 41, were greeted by Puna and his wife, along with Cook Islands Tourism chief executive officer Halatoa Fua and staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, according to the report.

It's understood Gayford will be using the trip to shoot for his Fish of the Day TV show, which airs on Three.

Cook Islands News reports Ardern's arrival when "relatively unnoticed" by people at the Rarotonga International Airport.
