As it happened: Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern speaks following meeting with Donald Trump

This livestream is now over.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has spoken to reporters following her meeting with US President Donald Trump.

Ardern was expected to bring up trading conditions between New Zealand and the United States, including tariffs on steel and aluminium.

Climate change has been a major focus for member states at the United Nations this week, but it's unclear whether Ardern would raise it considering Trump's desire to pull the US out of the Paris Agreement.

The description of the meeting has also been a sticky point, with New Zealand referring to it as a "bilateral" but the US saying it was just a "pull-aside".
