Coronavirus: Jacinda Ardern answers your COVID-19 questions

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern sat down for an informal chat with her Facebook followers on Monday night following the extension of New Zealand's nationwide lockdown, which will now be lifted on Monday, April 27 at 11:59pm.

Ardern addressed a handful of viewers' questions about the move to alert level 3 next week in her Facebook Live, touching on topics such as secondary waves of transmission, contact tracing and schooling and education.

She also reiterated her message that success against the virus is not defined by zero cases, but a zero-tolerance approach. She urged New Zealanders to keep note of who they may come into contact with to aid possible contact tracing throughout alert level 3.

Sipping on her cup of tea, Ardern ended on a note about not being afraid to reach out for help.

"If you don't feel yourself, stay at home, call your GP, call Healthline and if they tell you to get tested, get a test quickly - don't be afraid to ask, there is no stigma," she said.
