Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is holding her weekly post-Cabinet press conference and will announce if the COVID-19 lockdown is to be extended or reduced to alert level 3.
It comes as the Ministry of Health reported just nine new cases of the coronavirus in New Zealand on Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 1440, and no change to the death toll of 12.
If alert level 3 is implemented, many businesses will be able to open again, but bars and restaurants will remain closed, and you will be able to get takeaways but only if it is delivered.
You can read more about the alert levels here.
