It's a no from Tau - Former National MP doesn't think Muller has what it takes to win the next election

Former National MP Tau Henare doesn't think new National leader Todd Muller will win the next election. However he praised the Bay of Plenty MP for his authenticity in a chat on Sunday with The Hui.

He also believes that with Simon Bridges and Paula Bennett out of the picture, National could rebuild its relationship with Winston Peters and New Zealand First.

Bridges' hopes of leading the National Party into the next election were extinguished this week after a Newshub Reid Research Poll showed support for him and the National Party had collapsed.

On Thursday both Bridges and  Bennett were rolled and replaced by political dark horse Todd Muller and Auckland central MP Nikki Kaye.
