Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has just held her weekly post-Cabinet press conference and revealed the Government's plan for shifting to COVID-19 alert level 2.
The Prime Minister announced that New Zealand will shift into COVID-19 alert level 2 on Thursday, May 14, but bars and nightclubs will have to wait an extra week.
Businesses will be able to reopen at alert level 2 after more than a month of restrictions to help prevent the spread of coronavirus.
