Judith Collins announces National Party caucus reshuffle

New leader of the Opposition Judith Collins will announce her new caucus on Thursday, two days after she stepped into the role.

Collins replaced former leader Todd Muller on Tuesday evening after Muller resigned, citing health reasons. He had been in the role just 53 days.

Collins has already made one adjustment to her Cabinet - on Wednesday she stripped MP Michael Woodhouse of the health portfolio for his role in the COVID-19 patient details leak saga.

Woodhouse was leaked similar details to former MP Hamish Walker by the same source - former National Party president Michelle Boag.

She has placed Shane Reti in his role and given Woodhouse the associate finance and Pike River portfolios.
