Have your say: Who's your preferred Prime Minister and Deputy - Judith Collins and David Seymour or Jacinda Ardern and James Shaw?

If National and ACT form a coalition after the election, Judith Collins isn't ruling out having David Seymour as her Deputy Prime Minister.

National leader Collins said on Tuesday she was leaving the door open for ACT leader Seymour to potentially become Deputy Prime Minister if the election goes in their favour.

"Those are negotiations that are still to be had. I'm not ruling it out," Collins said. "I'm not in that lucky position yet to do that."

Green party leader James Shaw, meanwhile, told RNZ's Morning Report on Tuesday that replacing Winston Peters as Deputy Prime Minister was "not out of the realm of possibility".

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern wouldn't say if she'd support Shaw becoming her Deputy in a Labour-Green coalition.
