Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is speaking to media in Timaru.
It comes after she announced $11.6 million in funding to upgrade Timaru's iconic Theatre Royal and construct a new connected Heritage Facility museum and exhibition space.
"The Theatre Royal is an iconic building and an integral part of the Timaru community and it will be wonderful to see it returned its former glory," Ardern said on Tuesday.
Ardern will also likely be asked about Labour's education policy.
