Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield are giving an update on the COVID-19 outbreak in Auckland.
Auckland was thrust back into alert level 3 on Sunday after revelations a 21-year-old with COVID-19 ignored self-isolation rules and visited several places, including a gym, while he was symptomatic.
It's also been revealed that his household met up with another family - who are now in quarantine thanks to confirmed cases of COVID-19 - during the last alert level 3 lockdown.
Ardern told The AM Show she's "angry" about the rule-breaking but of "two-minds" about whether punishment is the right course of action.
The Ministry of Health reported no new cases in the community on Monday.
