Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is speaking to the media on Friday from south Auckland, where a tornado damaged hundreds of houses last weekend.
Ardern is expected to be questioned about the ongoing COVID-19 response in Wellington. The city was escalated to alert level 2 on Tuesday after an Australian traveller, who had been in Wellington over the weekend, tested positive for COVID-19 upon their return to Sydney.
