COVID-19 Minister Chris Hipkins, border officials face grilling from MPs on MIQ managed isolation and quarantine

COVID-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins and border officials are appearing before MPs to face a grilling on managed isolation and quarantine (MIQ), a system many Kiwis have struggled with due to high demand for spots. 

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern suspended Parliament for the week on the advice of Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield. Select committees will continue to be held virtually to maintain scrutiny of the Government. 

The Prime Minister has asked that Opposition MPs get more opportunities to ask questions.
