COVID-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins is providing an update on the Waikato outbreak and the Government's response.

The Ministry of Health registered 39 new cases of COVID-19 in the community on Wednesday, 30 in Auckland and nine in Waikato, after reporting 24 cases on Tuesday, 29 on Monday and 33 on Sunday.
With half of the eligible population of New Zealand fully vaccinated and more than 80 percent with at least one dose, the Government desperately wants to reach the remaining 20 percent who have not yet received one dose.
