Friday is the deadline for Fire and Emergency staff and some police officers to have had two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.

They are among workers in the health and disability, education, and corrections sectors who work with high-risk populations or settings.

Vaccinations are also required for those who work within two metres of health practitioners and children for more than 15 minutes at a time.

Meanwhile, all sworn police officers and Defence Force staff have to have had their first dose by Monday and their second dose by 1 March.

And managed isolation workers have until the end of this month to get their booster shot.

As of Wednesday, 40 percent were yet to do so.
