Director-General of Health Dr Ashley Bloomfield is speaking at the Ministry of Health in Wellington to provide the latest Omicron developments.
More than 14,000 new COVID-19 cases were detected in the community on Monday, as the Omicron variant surges in New Zealand.
Dr Bloomfield's press conference will be followed by a daily update from Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern at about 1:45pm from the Beehive.
Labour held a virtual caucus meeting on Tuesday morning due to the Omicron outbreak and the Prime Minister will beam into Parliament from 2pm via Zoom.
