COVID-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins is providing an update on the Omicron response at the Beehive in Wellington after the number of new cases on Monday reached nearly 20,000.
Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will then speak briefly at the Beehive podium on daily developments before Parliament sits.
Ardern and Hipkins are expected to address the police operation at Parliament where the anti-mandate protesters have lost ground.
