Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is speaking to media in Fiji after making a climate change announcement.
The New Zealand Government will contribute $10 million to the conservation of Pacific crop seeds that may be impacted by the effects of climate change.
"Climate change and extreme weather are impacting crop yields and reducing supply which exacerbates food insecurity and increases food prices," Ardern said earlier on Tuesday.
"This is an investment in the long-term food security of our region."
