Jacinda Ardern has jokingly promised Black Fern Ruby Tui a go as Prime Minister when she's done in a punny new social media video.
In the video, which Tui posted to her Twitter account on Thursday, the rugby player can be seen sitting laughing with the Prime Minister.
Tui then turns to her and asks, "Okay, aunty Cindy I was just wondering when you're finished being Prime Minister can you give me Ardern?"
The pair then dissolve into laughter before Ardern answers, "Yep" to which Tui yells, "Yes!".
The joke is a play on the Prime Minister's last name sounding similar to "a turn".
And it went down well online racking up 263 retweets and 2315 likes.
One person said the video was "crack up" while another simply labelled it "gold".
The video comes as the Black Ferns prepare to take on England in the Rugby World Cup final at Eden Park on Saturday.
While the Prime Minister has jokingly named her replacement it comes just weeks after she was forced to bat away rumours she was planning to resign before next year's election.
Speaking with AM last month, Ardern told co-host Melissa Chan-Green she has no plans to step down.
"I've heard this. This rumour has floated around my entire time five years in Government. I have no plans to change my role as leader, I am not going anywhere. I've said this on the show a number of times," she said.
"Rumours circulate and it's just part of the role but this is not the first time I've had this one and it did come up the last election as well. I am the Labour leader and I have no plans on changing that."
The Prime Minister also took her appearance on the show as a chance to dispel rumours she was planning to move.
"While I am here might I also dismiss the rumour that I am relocating to New Plymouth, as lovely as it is, I am not intending to move either," she added.
