Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern is expected to announce tweaks to the immigration settings.
"Obviously we need to wait for Cabinet today…but one of the things we will be discussing is just a little look at some of the settings that we have," Ardern told AM on Monday morning.
"When I say settings, not broadly, we are looking more at are there particular areas of pressure for certain sectors where it will be easier potentially to attract people or simpler to attract people into those roles."
