Watch live: The Hui final debate - Māori policy

This debate starts at 8.45pm.

The Hui on Thursday night will host its eighth and final tautohetohe (debate) this election season.

Six of the top-polling parties are set to join host Julian Wilcox to debate Māori policy and the most pressing kaupapa facing tāngata whenua around the motu.

The candidates in tonight's debate are:

  • Takuta Ferris - Te Pāti Māori
  • Marama Davidson - Greens
  • Shane Jones - NZ First
  • Karen Chhour - ACT
  • Willie Jackson - Labour
  • Tama Potaka - National

It comes after early voting officially opened Monday.

People can vote at any of the 2600 polling stations scattered across Aotearoa - even if it's outside your electorate.

Te Kaitiaki Take Kōwhiri / Electoral Commission recommends people enrol online before voting, to speed up the process.

However, you can still enrol and vote in-person at voting stations.

The last chance to vote is next Saturday, October 14 at 7pm.
