Christopher Luxon expresses interest in attaching New Zealand to AUKUS security alliance in meeting with Anthony Albanese

Prime Minister Christopher Luxon met with his Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese on Wednesday and expressed interest in attaching New Zealand to the AUKUS security alliance with Australia, the UK and the US.

However, it would only be in a "second tier" capacity because of New Zealand's nuclear free policy.

Albanese was happier to talk about that than the ongoing issues over 501s.
