Rugby World Cup 2019: Jamie George (England)

  • 01/04/2019

Born: October 20, 1990 at Welwyn Garden City

Position: Hooker

Club: Saracens

Height: 1.83m

Weight: 113kg

Caps: 36 for England, three for British & Irish Lions

George replaced suspended veteran Dylan Hartley in the 2015 Rugby World Cup squad, after debuting against France in a warm-up match.

Although he began his international career in the shadow of his then-captain, he was profitted from Hartley's poor disciplinary record to remain a key member of the England set-up and eventually emerge as one of the best in his position.

He played all three tests during the Lions' 2017 tour of New Zealand and their win over the Maori All Blacks was his first international start, after 17 bench appearances for England - a world record for most tests without a start.
