Rugby World Cup 2019: Paul Lasike (USA)

Born: June 18, 1990 in Auckland, New Zealand

Position: Centre

Club: Harlequins

Height: 1.80m

Weight: 113kg

Caps: 13

The Auckland-born centre was recruited by US college Brigham Young to play rugby almost a decade ago, but found a career in the NFL, as a barnstorming fullback.

Stints with the Chicago Bears and Arizona Cardinals didn't work out as planned, and Lasike turned his attention back to the 15-man code.

He linked up with Harlequins in the English rugby competition and has been one of the stars of the season with his heavy tackling and hard running.

He is the Eagles' most dangerous attacking weapon and if they are to pull off an upset in Japan, the 29-year-old will be key.
