Rugby World Cup 2019: Tadhg Furlong (Ireland)

  • 05/04/2019

Born: November 14, 19921 in Wexford, Ireland

Position: Prop

Club: Leinster

Height: 1.85m

Weight: 126kgs

Caps:  39

Probably the most complete prop in world rugby, Furlong was a star of the Lions tour of New Zealand two years ago.

As good around the park as he is at set-piece, the 26-year-old anchors the best front row in Japan.

Ireland arrive at the World Cup with lofty ambition and as the best ranked side in the world but they will need their powerhouse prop to be at his absolute best.

Furlong has tasted success against the All Blacks, propping the Lions scrum in the second test win in Wellington and twice for Irealan in 2016 and 2018.
