Born: June 16, 1991 in Ontario, Canada

Position: Lock, flanker or No.8

The 27-year-old captained Canada at the 2015 tournament and will again hope to lead by example in Japan.

Ardron signed for the Chiefs in 2018 to become the first Canadian player to represent an NZ Super Rugby team - a key cog in their late playoff push this season.

Ardron has also made 15 appearances for the Bay of Plenty Steamers in two Mitre 10 Cup campaigns.

The well-travelled Canadian has also played for Ospeys in the Celtic League and is regarded as Canada's best rugby player of his generation.

He's Canada's most talented and versatile forward, capable of covering the second and back-row positions.
