Rugby World Cup 2019: All Blacks meet the Houston Rockets in Tokyo

The All Blacks have used one of their rare days off to hang out with some of the biggest stars in the NBA.

On Wednesday, players including Sam Whitelock, TJ Perenara and Ardie Savea were pictured at a Houston Rockets training session during the team's pre-season tour of Japan.

After training, the All Blacks got photos with players including Russell Westbrook and James Harden.

Whitelock even gifted Harden a signed All BlacksWorld Cup jersey and received a signed basketball in return.

"Thanks for letting us watch you train in Tokyo today @houstonrockets! It was awesome to meet you all, we hope you enjoy the All Blacks jersey," the All Blacks posted on their Instagram page.

The Rockets went down, 129-134, to the Toronto Raptors as part of the NBA Japan Games, and the two teams square off again on Thursday, before returning to the USA.

The All Blacks meanwhile face Italy in their final pool match of the World Cup on Saturday.
