Rugby World Cup 2019: TVNZ to air bronze-medal match between All Blacks and Wales

The bronze-medal match between the All Blacks and Wales will now be available on TVNZ - with an hour delay.

TVNZ previously said it would not be able to air the Friday game - which will be coach Steve Hansen and captain Kieran Read's final for the New Zealand national team - as it had been given the rights to air only 12 matches and the bronze game wasn't one of them.

But Spark has now announced it will allow TVNZ to play the game for viewers with an hour delay.

All Spark Sport Rugby World Cup Tournament Pass customers as well as those who purchased a pass specifically for the bronze match will be able to watch it live.

"We know the interest level in this match will now be much higher than when we originally decided which matches would show on free-to-air TV," said Spark Sport head Jeff Latch in a statement.

"We want to ensure that as many New Zealanders as possible have the opportunity to see how the All Blacks close out their tournament."

The bronze-medal match will happen on Friday night (NZ Time) followed by the final between England and South Africa on Saturday night.

Join us at 10pm Friday for live updates of the All Blacks v Wales Rugby World Cup third-fourth playoff
