Rugby World Cup 2019: World Rugby outlines contingency plans for Typhoon Hagibis

This live stream has now ended.

Rugby World Cup 2019 appears to be in disarray, as Typhoon Hagibis bears down on Japan, threatening the final round of pool play at the tournament.

With all four pools still up for grabs and quarter-final positions on offer, the storm may force the cancellation of at least two games, including the All Blacks' fixture against Italy.

New Zealand need at least a bonus point from the fixture to qualify for the playoffs - victory would see them finish atop the pool.

If the game is called off, the two teams will take two points each, which would also be enough for the All Blacks to finish on top of the pool.

The other game in danger of cancellation is England v France, both of whom are unbeaten in Pool C, with the English gathering two more bonus points than their rivals.

World Rugby are expected to address the situation at a media conference at 4pm. Join us for a live stream of that announcement.
