However a US veterinary college has shared details of a tiny calf it is caring for, and who they have named Lil' Bill.
The calf weighed just under 10 pounds ( 4.5kgs ) when he arrived at the college.
"Occasionally, we get a case that has us scratching our heads a bit, Lil' Bill is one of those cases!" the Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine said on its Facebook page.
"He was born weighing a little over one-tenth of what newborn calves typically weigh."
Lil' Bill now has his own Facebook tag #LilBill, and the college has promised to post updates on his progress.
