Herbicide resistance in New Zealand is on the rise, now affecting at least 20 different weed species.

The first crop resistance developed in 1979, with Fathen, and continues to be a challenge for maize growers.

Director of Plant Science Consulting, Dr Peter Boutsalis spoke to Rural Exchange about the issue and what farmers can do to avoid it.
