Beef prices on the rise as warm temps boost grass growth

Beef prices are on the rise, as spring weather boosts grass growth. 

Heartland Bank head of livestock, Wayne McEntee told Rural Exchange that store paddock beef prices were up 10-15 cents a kilo.

"I put that down to a lot of farmers over the dry autumn ditching a few animals, who are now looking to restock now the grass is growing."
