Last lambs fetch good returns

Farmers still with lambs to sell are being rewarded with good prices.

Head of livestock at Heartland Bank, Wayne McEntee told Rural Exchange that lambs were fetching prices of up to $8.95 a kilo.

The 100-kilo jersey calf market had seen prices of around $450, while anything slightly better marked was paying between $500-$600.
