Dairy farm sales picking up in Northland, say local agents

Rural real estate agents are reporting a pickup in interest and sales of dairy farms in Northland.

Bayleys Northland general manager, Tony Grindle told Rural Today that with milk payouts now at a consistently strong level, the market appeared to be lifting.

"Buyers are engaging in all classes of dairy farms on all levels, from entry-level to large properties."

Grindle said demand for horticulture blocks remained strong in the regions, with avocado kiwifruit blocks attracting buyers from all over the country.
