A man is dead after a tractor crash on a property near Cromwell.
Police said the tractor rolled on the property off State Highway 6 in the Kawarau Gorge.
Reports of the accident were received at around 5.40pm on Wednesday.
"Medical attention was administered to the driver but he died at the scene," police said.
Police and Worksafe are investigating the incident.
The crash was the second involving a tractor within 24 hours.
A truck driver was seriously injured after colliding with a tractor carrying a colony of bees on Wharepuhunga Road, Waikato on Wednesday morning.
The truck rolled onto its side and the beehives spilled onto the road, police reported.
