Pre-drought conditions send meat prices down

After a buoyant end to 2019, dry conditions in many regions are impacting on meat prices.

Heartland Bank head of livestock, Wayne McEntee told Rural Exchange that lack of rain was starting to put the pinch on farmers.

"Things have taken a turn big-time.

"Prices are well back already, and could come back a little more," said McEntee.
