Connection through Young Farmers helps avoid rural isolation

A Waikato farmer says getting together with like-minded people is key to avoid rural isolation.

Te Kawa West Young Farmers Club Chairperson, Hayden van der Poel, told Rural Exchange the group was a way to connect with a wide range of people from the sector.

"We all have a very common interest, and that's farming," said van der Poel.
