While the farming community is used to living and working in isolation, the COVID-19 lockdown means it's quieter than usual.
Southland dairy farmer Tangaroa Walker told Rural Today the restrictions meant farmers were going without their usual ways of catching up with others including playing sport, and having a chat with on-farm contractors.
