The families of the victims of a tragic farm accident near Raetihi on Sunday say they are "humbled" by the community's support.

Bev Hiscox and her two grandchildren, Luka and JJ Sirett, aged 10 and 5, died when the side-by-side vehicle they were on crashed into a dam on their farm and plunged into a pond.

The children's grandfather Mike Hiscox, 69, managed to escape the vehicle and survived with moderate injuries.

"The Hiscox and Sirett families are humbled by the outpouring of support from their local community, friends and family from across the globe," family spokesperson Elijah Pue said on Thursday.

"I have fielded multiple calls, messages and texts from people from all around the world. We have received copious amounts of home-baking and visits from friends and family from near and afar. On behalf of the families I wish to thank everyone for their support."

Pue said a funeral service for the three would be held on Monday June 15.

"Bev, Luka and JJ will then be laid to rest together at the Raetihi Cemetery on Parapara Road," Pue said.

"The funeral is an opportunity for the families together with the community to pay their respects and honour a loving Nanny and her two grandsons."
