One person has died after an incident involving a tractor in the Bay of Plenty.
Police said they were called to a property in Ohauiti around 6:30pm after a person received serious injuries.
"Sadly, the person was located deceased at the scene," a police spokesperson told Newshub on Thursday.
Fire and Emergency also attended the incident.
The incident was understood to have involved a tractor, NZME reported.
Police said there were no suspicious circumstances and the matter would be referred to the coroner.
An investigation is also underway in Whanganui, after a workplace death earlier this week.
WorkSafe said on Thursday it understands a tractor was involved, but cannot provide any more details.
Emergency services were called to the property in Ranana on Tuesday morning.
Two ambulances and a helicopter were sent to the scene.
