A 60-year-old man has received multiple injuries after being run over by his own tractor.
He was working on the tractor on Saturday when it lurched forward and ran over him.
The TECT Rescue Helicopter was dispatched to the man's rural property west of Tauranga.
He had multiple injuries, including to his hip, chest and abdomen, TECT Rescue Helicopter said in a statement.
He was airlifted to Tauranga Hospital in a critical condition.
