One person is dead after a workplace accident involving a digger in Waitati, Otago on Monday.
Emergency services were called to the incident at 11:40am, a police spokesperson said.
It happened at a forestry site on Clark Rd, according to the Otago Daily Times.
Police said the digger did not roll, as was originally reported to them.
Worksafe has been advised of the death.
